Stupid Versus Evil

“IN AMERICA, WE have a two-party system,” a Republican congressional staffer is supposed to have told a visiting group of Russian legislators some years ago.
“There is the stupid party. And there is the evil party. I am proud to be a member of the stupid party.”
He added: “Periodically, the two parties get together and do something that is both stupid and evil. This is called—“bipartisanship.”
“The evil party wants to bankrupt the country and destroy its morals. The stupid party is, in principle, opposed to those things but doesn’t have a clue what to do about it.(Link to quote)

In every Western nation we have this struggle between the Stupid Party and the Evil Party. In most European countries you have a range of parties to choose from. In most of the English speaking world we get to choose directly between Stupid and Evil. In Europe it's a sliding scale from Stupid to Evil with a range of choices in between.

In Britain the Stupid Party are the Conservatives and the Evil Party are Labour.

In Australia the Stupid Party are the Liberals and the Evil Party are Labor.

In the U.S. the Stupid Party are the Republicans and the Evil Party are the Democrats.

Sometimes they like to shake it up and the Stupid Party does something Evil, or the Evil Party will do something stupid.

One of the great examples of Stupid and Evil is immigration. Both say that we need immigrants to drive the economy. That they improve the country, economically, culturally, socially, morally. Immigrants are just better people than we are, lets be honest that is the basic argument that both sides make.

However the Evil party has an Evil agenda, they believe that immigrants will vote for them, so they want immigration. So they support changing the people in the West and replacing them with Foreigners. Immigrants vote overwhelmingly for the Evil Party. Because the Evil party likes to give away free things and who doesn't like free things?

The free stuff includes our countries, our society, everything we and our ancestors built and created. Our entire Civilization is being given away for free.

Slowly the population changes and the Stupid Party doesn't seem to notice. Entire areas change population and political allegiance and they cannot work out why. Immigrants are natural conservatives they argue, even though they are not. The Foreign population that has been born in the West are just like us...even though we find out time and again that that isn't true. Nothing seems to make the Stupid Party come to it's senses.

Now many argue that these people may be Evil but they aren't Stupid, they understand what is going on quite well. That may be true, although it might not be true. What is obvious is that far to many of the voters of each party are stupid. Even when it is happening all around them, even when it directly affects their own life, how many people still cannot work it out?

To be fair to such people who else is there to vote for?

Isn't it true that voting always results in a politician winning?

Well yes that is true, maybe thats the real stupid and Evil thing!

  1. Hmmm, how to put this nicely Mark - you are much too nice and naive. Here's two other quotes that are closer to the truth:
    1. Carroll Quigley, Georgetown professor and Bill Clinton mentor: "The argument of two parties should represent opposed ideas and policies, one perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinate and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can “throw the rascals out” at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. The policies that are vital and necessary for America are no longer subjects of significant disagreement, but are disputable only in details of procedure, priority, or method.”

    2. James Forrestal, US Secretary of the Navy and later first Secretary of Defense in a conversation related by Senator Joe McCarthy:
Before meeting Jim Forrestal I thought we were losing to international Communism because of incompetence and stupidity on the part of our planners. I mentioned that to Forrestal. I shall forever remember his answer. He said, "McCarthy, consistency has never been a mark of stupidity. If they were merely stupid they would occasionally make a mistake in our favor." This phrase stuck me so forcefully that I have often used it since.

    1. Carnivore, I just saw your post on another site and I wondered why you aren't posting on yours?

These parties all represent the same philosophy Liberalism, so they are only the Left and Right factions within Liberalism. You and I are not Liberals so we are outside of the system.

Also not agreeing with Carroll Quigley doesn't make me nice or naive. "The policies that are vital and necessary for America are no longer subjects of significant disagreement, but are disputable only in details of procedure, priority, or method." If this is true how do you explain the Vietnam War?

The reason the Communists did so well is because they were prepared for the Cold War. America was not. International Communism lost. Liberalism is winning, just as it won the Cold War.

    2. Dude, just been too busy to put together posts on my site. Last year and a half has been challenging.

OK, we're sorta on the same page. Vietnam was much earlier. There was still some dichotomy remaining between the Right and Left, where voting actually meant something. (Now I'm being naive.) I'd reckon around the time of Bush I they became, by degrees, two sides of the same coin. The difference today between Right and Left is just window dressing by our ruling elite to give the masses the idea that voting will actually change something. The constant movement left can't be put at the Republican party's stupidity. Thus the Foresstal quote. At least, that's how I see it in the USA. Pretty cynical, eh?
Didn't mean to insult, if you took it that way. Peace.

    3. I explain it this way. We are all in a car and we get to vote on the driver, the driver on the Left puts their foot down. The driver on the Right takes their foot off the accelerator. But the direction of the car never changes, we are still driving towards the cliff. Only the speed at which we travel there changes.

Also I did not take offence, we are all good!

  2. They are both evil at that point.
