Letter From An Honest Foreigner - Melbourne Traditionalists Podcast -Episode Fifty Four

This episode is about an email I received, which you can listen to with my thoughts or that you can read below, without my thoughts.

Length: 27 minutes

Click on the link and enjoy!

Dear Mark,

I am writing to explain why I believe that Australians of specifically English descent are the only people who stand in the way of total globalist subjugation in this country.

My reasoning proceeds from a distinction between the following Australians: those of English descent, those of other Irish, Scottish, and Welsh descent, Australians of European descent, and non-whites.

This distinction is key because history teaches us that ethnic division, even if seemingly harmless, weakens a nation, and at best leads to a breakup of the nation-state (e.g. Czechoslovakia), at worst to subjugation.  It is common to contrast Czechoslovakia with Yugoslavia, but I do not think that balkanisation is the worst thing that can happen to a nation.  Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, even Bosnia, are now ethnically homogeneous nation-states, free to pursue their own destinies, whereas Australia's population resembles its founding stock less and less with every passing year.

In listening to the Melbourne Traditionalists' podcast episodes about the White Australia policy, it therefore jumped out at me that, from the beginning, many of the people involved in the plan to destroy the specifically English, and more broadly British, character of Australia were themselves not purely of English stock.

This is much easier to see after WWII, when individuals from alien (but still European) ethnicities played key roles in imposing *multiculturalism* on Australians, but looking further back, I believe you will find evidence of the same division between the English and the British ethnicities under the surface.

Lest some readers think that this division amounts to nothing more than barracking against England in sport, note that the margin of victory in the Brexit referendum was much smaller because of Scotland and Northern Ireland.  That is to say, were it up to the Scots, the whole of England would have been locked into the EU against its will.

At this point, you might ask, "What do England and Scotland have to do with me?  I'm Australian."

But to the foreigner, you are not Australian -- you are English.  You are English because your ancestors came from England, and your being not-an-Englishman is a logical impossibility.

After all, says the foreigner, your family left England no more than a few generations ago; what's more, until recently, everyone else here was English too!  A few years ago, when visiting Greece, it struck me that many of the people resembled locals in Oakleigh; by the same token, a visitor from England to Australia fifty years ago would have seen familiar faces wherever he went.

You have to understand that everything about you broadcasts Englishness to us: English is actually your ethnic language -- unlike ours -- your English christian names are actually your authentic names -- not anglicised, like ours --, your surnames are English -- unlike ours, and even if ours are anglicised they refer to our original surnames --, your turns of phrase are English -- unlike ours --, your traditional songs are English -- unlike ours --, and the way you think and speak and act are essentially English -- you don't realise it, but anyone who is not "Anglo" can almost smell it on you.

And of course, when you trace your ancestry, the records of your ancestors' births, deaths, and marriages are in churches and archives... in England.

Now the most important thing to understand is that the foreigner, having identified you as an Englishman, hates and envies you for it, because he has been raised to believe that he is superior to you, but in his heart he knows this to be a lie.  He is raised on myths and legends or fantasies of his own people's greatness, but at every turn he is reminded that he lives in an Englishman's civilisation:

The Union Jack on the Australian flag; the names of states, cities, towns, streets, suburbs; statues of great Englishmen in public parks.  (Which he would tear down in an instant if he could get away with it) The names of schools, all the Prime Ministers, the Queen on the money, and so on.  What makes things worse is that the foreigner, especially the child or grandchild of an immigrant, hates the fact that some of your Englishness has rubbed off on him.  You might think that the more he is like you, the more he will empathise with you, but the opposite is true:  the more he loses contact with his roots, the more inauthentic he will feel himself to be, and the more stridently he will assert his differences from you.

I have lived here for twenty years and can tell you that there is nary an "ethnic" who does not think "Anglo" culture is "boring" and inferior.  The foreigner says these silly things as a safe way to express a deeper, often incoherent resentment.

The foreigner here does not speak his ancestral language, and often speaks an ugly, inferior, inauthentic English vernacular; and the more Australianised, the more inauthentic and ignorant he feels himself to be when visits the **mother country** -- which is not Australia. Upon his return to Australia, he is both relieved and resentful -- relieved to be in familiar surroundings, but ever the more resentful that it is not his world.

However, there is a simple way to resolve this dilemma: it is to say that everyone can be an Australian, and to water down Australian identity from a blood-and-soil ethnicity to an accent, some paperwork, and consumer brands.  That way, everyone can be **both** Australian **and** whatever he really is.  This is how the foreigner can resolve the cognitive dissonance of claiming to be both Australian and not-Australian.  The more Australia turns into a hodgepodge of ethnic mongrels, the more credible this attitude becomes.

However, there is one group of people whose very existence threatens this charade: you.

When you say, "I'm not an Englishman, my family has been here since the First Fleet", you attack the foundation of his world view.  For if you, who are an Englishman as far as he is concerned, claim to have somehow detached yourself from a fifteen-hundred-year-long ethnic continuum, then you are saying that **he** cannot be an Australian without doing the same.  Thus, all foreigners, even European ones, have a common interest in the destruction of the Australian nation.  If they can get rid of you, their children can wear your Australian identity as a skinsuit, and there will be no-one to contradict their claims.

To put it in a nutshell: if everyone is Australian then no-one is, and if no-one is Australian, then everyone is.

Regards,

Mr. G

How To Support Real Resistance

None of this is mine, I found it on Facebook and thought it had some good ideas that need to get spread around.

How To Support Real Resistance

1. Do not borrow money from banks, use cash only and stop using credit cards!

<stop giving them your money>

2. Learn to barter for goods!

<avoid using their money>

3. Shop at locally owned stores!

<keep your money circulating locally>

4. Avoid large corporate stores such as: Walmart, Costco or any other Chinese import store!

<the real cost of low prices from china is inflation of our currency>

5. Grow as much food at home as possible!

<window gardens, patio gardens, outdoor raised beds>

6. Buy used items instead of new!

<use local buy and sell classifieds and thrift stores>

7. Start a business producing real physical goods and sell locally

<become a productive member of your tribe, start small and grow>

8. Recycle old items

< recycling creatively saves money>

9. Avoid fast food stores

<fast food is corporately owned and low in nutrition>

10. Get everyone you know involved, especially those in your own neighbourhood, share your garden and get to know your White neighbours!

Signed; T.ME/ecofascist

There is some great advice there, even if I'm not an ecofascist. The only thing I would change is buying low cost from China costs us our own economy and future, not inflation.

I would also add that even doing some of these things is better than doing none of these things. Everything that helps our cause is a good thing!

YouTube Is Back!

I have still not been able to fix the original problem that I had regarding my videos. A software program that had worked no longer worked on my home computer. However I have been able to outsource the problem and a workaround has been successful!

So as of today I will be putting new content onto the channel.

Rejecting Perfection

All of the Ideologies believe that it is possible to create perfect people who live within a perfect economic system under a perfect form of government. When people talk about revolution or The Revolution, this is what they are talking about. The ending of our Civilization and the creation of a new Civilization, a Utopia.

Communists and Anarchists are the most open about this, in fact this is part of their appeal. Their endpoint has a finality, the end of all earthly problems, the end of poverty, the end of war. A heaven on Earth. The other Ideologies are less open about this, they merely imply that they also have the means to achieve a heaven on Earth. Liberalism is like this. It doesn't like to talk about the endpoint because it scares people. In the Communist or Anarchist Utopia, people still sound like people, idealised people but still people. In the Liberal Utopia, people do not sound like people at all, they are so unlike who we are that it sounds creepy. People so free that they are without restraint. That doesn't describe you or me or anyone either of us knows. It describes an entirely new type of person, the Autonomous Individual.

Liberalisms version of the perfect person living within a perfect economic system under a perfect form of government.

Today I hear on the radio about a campaign to stop violence against children. How is that possible? If someone personally does violence to children I guess they could stop. It may be possible to discourage violence against children. But is it actually possible to stop violence against children?

The answer is no it is not possible. It is a Utopian aim, something that we have heard our entire life. The idea, the confusion, that something that may be desirable is achievable, even though it has never been achieved anywhere at anytime. Desire is not the same as reality.

That can be a hard idea to digest as we really have heard this sirens call our entire life. The idea that life can be perfected. That permanent answers exist. That these things are close to being achieved. None of these things are true, but we have heard them so often that that sounds wrong. Surely one day there will be an end to poverty!

To war!

To injustice!

Surely one day there will be a perfect education system!

But there won't be...ever!

War leads to peace and peace leads to war, the answer to every problem creates new problems.

We can never achieve the impossible and we should not seek the impossible. Instead we should seek to manage the problems that exist. Which means that mistakes are inevitable and that we must live with those mistakes. Before they are made, while they are being made and after they have been made. That does not mean that there are no answers. Some questions have answers, we all know this. The mistake is to think that that is universally true, that every question has one totally and only one, correct answer.

Better days can be achieved, we can nearly always do things better. But rarely perfectly, that is a standard that is out of our grasp.

Liberalism is an Express Train

Last night I received an email that I hope to read out on the podcast entitled Letter from An Honest Foreigner. The letter has many interesting things to say but one sentence highlighted for me a thought I have spoken about but not written down.

In listening to the Melbourne Traditionalists' podcast episodes about the White Australia policy, it therefore jumped out at me that, from the beginning, many of the people involved in the plan to destroy the specifically English, and more broadly British, character of Australia were themselves not purely of English stock.

This instantly puts my mind to thinking about Arthur Calwell, he was Australia's first Minister of Immigration in 1947. It was he who brought into Australia the first large non-British immigration. Yet in 1966 as leader of the Australian Labor Party he campaigned to keep the White Australia policy. These two positions are irreconcilable, either you keep an exclusive immigration policy or you do not.

Like nearly all Western politicians he was a Liberal, he believed in and supported Liberalism.

Liberalism is a logic and that logic works like an express train. It speeds past station after station but that's no problem as you never wanted to get off there anyway. But there tends to come a point were you think to yourself, this has all gone to far, I think I want to get off this train....but you can't, this is an express train. It's not stopping at any station, no it is going all the way to the end of the line.

At the end of the line will be the Autonomous Individual, who will have no race or ethnicity, no sex or gender, no family or marriage, a person completely free of the restrictions of the past. Most Liberals will be shocked that this is the end of the line, but it is. They will argue that they never meant for it to go so far. That this is far beyond anything that they wanted or imagined. But thats the thing with express trains, they don't stop all stations, they don't even stop when you realise that you have gone to far.

To escape Liberalism is to escape from that express train, but it's not easy. At first you think that voting for someone new will change things. But every "conductor" that you vote for keeps going in the same general direction. You see that the train has changed tracks but it always heads in the same direction. Changing the conductor can change the speed of the express train, vote "Right" and it slows down vote "Left" and it speeds up. Even that cannot be trusted. A person can escape from the train, all they have to do is jump. Rarely does the jump hurt, but the fear is great, it feels so unnatural to be jumping from a moving train, one that nearly everyone you know likes or at least puts up with.

Once you have jumped you find that you are not alone. Others jumped before you, you even find people who never got on. Now you shout at the passengers on the train and they can't understand what your saying to them. They wonder to themselves, why would anyone want to jump off the express train, however they also see that people do jump off. They wonder if there is something wrong with the train. Most notice that something is wrong but most will never jump. If it stops they will get off, but they won't jump. Which means that the only way that the logic of Liberalism can end is by stopping the train.

The express train seems to be getting faster, those running the train think that the end of the line is near. As they move faster the risk also rises. Liberalism has always been patient, it has lasted multiple lifetimes, many don't even notice that they are on the express train. Once it was the journey that was important, now it appears that it is running out of patience. Everything must be achieved rapidly. So everything moves faster. So fast that the express train is in danger of derailing!

Some Thoughts On Race

Sex and Traditionalism

Degeneracy is a major topic on the right. In times past nearly all of us would be regarded as degenerate. We are people of our age and that means that we have picked up much more than we think we have from the degeneracy that surrounds us.

Hypocrisy is always in fashion and we are as fashionable as anyone. People like to accuse others, sometimes rightly, of degeneracy while forgetting their own part in advancing that cause. We must accept our limitations as well as those of others.

What is the purpose of sex?

Liberalism believes that the purpose of sex is pleasure. Everything to do with sex should be a choice and consequences should not exist. In the West we all live under Liberalism and this view of sex is pushed at every level, in movies, TV programs, advertisement, by schools and universities, by every government and political party. And by our family and friends.

The traditional view of sex is that it is for procreation, making babies.

Biologically, sex is about making babies and it is pleasurable, however both views neglect another important aspect of sex and that is connectedness. In other words love. Sex encourages closeness, physically and emotionally. Intimacy creates more intimacy. Men and women have feelings towards one another, jealousy, longing, protectiveness, confusion.

If this is true, how can prostitution, one night stands or rape exist?

Because we not simply biological creatures controlled by our urges, we are also emotional creatures who experience more than our physical activities. Finally we are also thinking creatures who rationalise our experiences and desires. What this means is that we can experience a wide ranges of thoughts and emotions regarding our desires. Desires that can be biological, emotional or intellectual, or a combination of these things. Humans are complex and so is human sex.

What does this have to do with Traditionalism?

Traditionalism should be about human nature, about advancing the best attributes of our nature were possible. While never forgetting that we can never attain perfection and therefore we should never seek it. Our limitations are as much a part of our nature as our greatest achievements. We are once and always beautiful and ugly, great and small. high and low. We are never free of our virtues or of our vices.

So when people talk about degeneracy it is always about how these things will not exist when we are in charge. But of course degeneracy will always exist. We can never eliminate what is part of our nature. We can however manage it, even if we sometimes fail. We can certainly stop celebrating it. We can also stop encouraging it. We can also stop pretending that men and women are the same and interchangeable.

We should instead encourage marriage and sex and procreation within marriage. As time goes on we should encourage virginity until marriage, particularly for women. Women experience sex much more intensely when it comes to emotions. When a women has sex with multiple men she sends her brain mixed signals, which over time make it harder for her to bond with her husband. This makes both men and women miserable. Men and women are not the same and we should stop pretending that they are.

Marriage is not a panacea, no such thing exists. But instead of insisting upon perfect, maybe we should be insisting upon best practice. What works for most people, what protects and provides for the future.

In a Traditionalist society sex in all it's forms, good and bad, will continue to exist. We are powerless to stop that. That does not mean that we are powerless in all area's. We can and should encourage marriage and stable personal relationships.

The Eighty-Ninth Month

I have bought a new computer and I have a new microphone so I should be able to start recording for the podcast this week. Not all of the technical difficulties have been worked out yet as due to the lockdown I have to work from home, but I think I'm close. I'm very happy with the writing I have done this month as I feel that a new avenue of thought is developing. Traditionalism as a goal, a future orientation. Not as something revived but as recurring motif, a permanent part of the political landscape.

My best day was the 15th July when I had 169 visitors, although I had 168 on the 5th August. My worst day was yesterday, the 10th August when I had 44 views. July I had 3,704 visitors.

The Eighty-Fourth Month

Victoria, A State of Disaster

A week ago, on Sunday the 2nd August 2020 at 1:43pm the State of Victoria was declared to be in a State of Disaster. This was of course due to Covid-19. Between the start of February and the 2nd August, 123 people have died with Covid-19 in their body in Victoria. (http://www.gazette.vic.gov.au/gazette/Gazettes2020/GG2020S383.pdf)

123!

A State of Disaster basically means that the government can use all government resources, including financial to help to alleviate any disaster. Are we in a disaster?

In 2018 there were 158,493 recorded deaths in Australia, that works out to 434 deaths a day.

As of the 6th August 2020, according to the official Australian government website there have been:

19,862 cases of Covid-19 in Australia

255 deaths with Covid-19 in Australia

11,112 people who have recovered from Covid-19 in Australia.

The median age of all cases is 38 years of age (0-106)

The median age of deaths is 82 years of age (33-103)

4,632,000 people have been tested in Australia.

The infection rate is 0.4%

So all of these restrictions are in place for a disease that has not caused even one days worth of deaths. To answer my own question, no we are not in a disaster.

But that has not stopped Queensland from shut it's borders to the southern states.

But it is in Victoria that the full state of insanity can be found. Victoria is effectively a police state.

In Victoria it is forbidden to:

Gather with people, including family members, who you do not live with.

Most work places have been closed.

You need a permit from the government to go to work.

You cannot go to church.

A curfew exists between 8pm-5am each night.

You cannot travel more than 5km from your house.

Only one person is allowed to go shopping per household (children are allowed to go with them).

Masks are compulsory

Weddings are banned in Melbourne.

Funerals can only have 10 people attending.

What is the purpose of all this?

I keep hearing people talking about this all being part of a plan, a conspiracy. But why is it being so unevenly applied?

Every angle that you look at this from something isn't right.

Public health?

This is a steep price to pay for a 0.4% infection rate.

Maybe it's about destroying the economy?

Some big companies have done quite well out of all this. But nearly ever company has paid a price.

Maybe it's about destroying small business?

It might just succeed at that, whether it's part of the plan or not.

Maybe it's about making everyone dependent upon the government?

If so I have no idea how they are going to finance that. They night really believe that old chestnut that this time it's different (meaning the economy doesn't have to play by the old rules)..but it never is.

Although I did hear one idea that I thought might have some merit. Climate Change is always about giving the government more power and control. It's not even important if it's true or not, the answer is always give more power to the government. Isn't that what we are witnessing now?

Every question only has one answer. give the government more power as that is the only thing that can keep you safe.

Is that the plan? Will it work?

If history is any guide, people go along with these things while they are occurring, but they tend to become cynical about them once they are over.

YouTube Trouble

From Friday 7th August I will not have something going up on YouTube as I normally do and it's all because of the Victorian government. Here in Victoria the government has gone more and more insane. They decided that because 123 people have died from Covid-19 in 6 months that they will declare a "state of disaster" and put us all into lockdown. So instead of going to the studio where I normally record to put out more content, I am stuck at home. I was hoping that I would be able to get the equipment that I required and set it up at home, however I haven't been able to do that in time. So for at least a few days I will not be putting anything up on YouTube. I'm hoping that everything will be back to normal next week.

Art and Some Further Thoughts - Melbourne Traditionalists Podcast - Episode Fifty Three

This weeks episode is on art, why it has gotten so bad and how we might be able to get it back on track. Today as I was thinking about putting the episode up here, I thought further on the subject. I wish I had had these thoughts when I was recording, but alas.

In the West, individualism has helped destroy art. It has taken the Artist and made him the most important piece of the art puzzle. The Artist is encouraged to look inward and to find his creativity, to explore his mind and emotion, to focus on himself and to project that into his art. While that can create art, the human mind is a closed system and therefore we focus on the small and insignificant. It is akin to being in a hall of mirrors, the mirrors show something real, however everything is distorted. This distortion destroys reality, in it's place it create's a false reality. Which endlessly repeats. It gives the illusion that things are unlimited, in fact the exact opposite is true.

Only by looking outside of the Artist can great art be achieved. The world is where beauty and glory reside and all great art requires beauty and glory. Art should awe us, it should make us wonder how this could ever be achieved by a mere mortal. That cannot be achieved through navel gazing, it can only be achieved by looking outwards, in finding inspiration in things that are greater than the Artist.

To find out my much fuller thoughts on the subject please have a listen, I think this is pretty good!
